2023 Barcelona Formula 2 Round
The 2023 Barcelona Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 2 and 4 June 2023 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It was the sixth round of the 2023 Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Notes * – Théo Pourchaire has been handed a three-place grid drop for the Sprint Race for impeding Dennis Hauger during Qualifying. Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya () is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. The track has stands with a capacity of 140,700. The circuit has FIA Grade 1 license. Until 2013 the track was known only as the ''Circuit de Catalunya'', before a sponsorship deal with Barcelona City Council added Barcelona to the track's title. Ayumu Iwasa
is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with DAMS. He previously raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and the 2020 French F4 champion. Career Karting Iwasa started karting in Japan in 2005 and began racing competitively in 2014. Some of his notable campaigns were winning the 2014 Suzuka Karting Championship Yamaha-SS Class and becoming champion of the Suzuka Karting Championship x-30 class. Jehan Daruvala (born 1 October 1998) is an Indian racing driver currently serving as a reserve driver for the Mahindra Racing Formula E team. He was a protégé of the Force India F1 team, after being one of three winners of a 'One in a Billion hunt' organized by the team in 2011. He is currently a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Campos Racing
Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Kush Maini (born 22 September 2000) is an Indian racing driver currently competing in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing. Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Hitech Grand Prix (formerly known as Hitech Racing) is a British motor racing team. It was founded in 2002 by Dennis Rushen and David Hayle.
