2023 Balearic Regional Election
The 2023 Balearic regional election was held on Sunday, 28 May 2023, to elect the 11th Parliament of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. All 59 seats in the Parliament were up for election. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in eleven other autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain. Overview Electoral system The Parliament of the Balearic Islands was the devolved, unicameral legislature of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands, having legislative power in regional matters as defined by the Spanish Constitution and the Balearic Statute of Autonomy, as well as the ability to vote confidence in or withdraw it from a regional president. Voting for the Parliament was on the basis of universal suffrage, which comprised all nationals over 18 years of age, registered in the Balearic Islands and in full enjoyment of their political rights. The Parliament of the Balearic Islands (Catalan: ''Parlament de les Illes Balears'') is the unicameral autonomous parliament of the Balearic Islands, one of the autonomous communities of Spain. The Parliament, composed of 59 elected seats, is located in the city of Palma, on the island of Majorca. Precedents Parliamentary Assembly of the Balearic Islands (1977–1978) The Parliamentary Assembly of the Balearic Islands ( ca, Assemblea de Parlamentaris de les Illes Balears) was an unofficial provisional body serving as pre-autonomic representation from 30 July 1977. It was composed by the eleven elected deputies and senators in the 1977 general election. Més Per Menorca
Més per Menorca ( en, More for Menorca, MpM) is a Menorcan political party. It was initially a coalition formed by the Socialist Party of Menorca, the Republican Left of the Balearic Islands, The Greens of Menorca, Equo, local parties and independents around the island until 2017. MpM was created in July 2014. Until May 2017 it had been linked to the similarly-named alliance in Majorca. History MpM gained 3 deputies in the Balearic elections of 2015, being the third most voted party of the island in those elections (after the PP and the Socialist Party). In the local elections held the same day, the coalition only presented a list in Ciutadella de Menorca, where it gained 6 town councillors and the mayorship. Citizens (Spanish Political Party)

Patricia Guasp Barrero (born 31 December 1977) is a Spanish politician, member of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands for Citizens, of which she also serves as Autonomic Coordinator of its regional branch. Biography Born on 31 December 1977, in Palma, she graduated in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and completed a master's degree in European Union law at the Université libre de Bruxelles. She began working at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels with paid internships. She has since worked as policy advisor for the European Parliament and for the government of Balearic Islands. She is currently on mandatory leave as a Senior Associate in the legal department of PwC. Formentera is one of the four constituencies ( es, circunscripciones) represented in the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, the regional legislature of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands. The constituency currently elects one deputy using plurality voting. Its boundaries correspond to those of the island of Formentera. Until the 2003 election, the results in this district were also used to determine the composition of the Island Council of Ibiza and Formentera during the same term as the Parliament, with Formentera counting for 1 out of the 13 seats of the Council—11 out of 12 from 1983 to 1987—.
