2023 Atlanta Dream Season
The 2023 Atlanta Dream season was the 16th season for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association, and their second season under head coach Tanisha Wright. The Dream secured the third overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft in the 2023 Draft Lottery. They entered the lottery with the 2nd best odds to get the first overall pick. Former assistant coach Christie Sides from the 2022 season left the team in the offseason after she was named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever. The Dream alternated losses and wins to begin the season and finished May with a 2–2 overall record. The pattern didn't carry over into June where the team lost its first three games of the month. WNBA Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference of the Women's National Basketball Association is made up of six teams. From the league's second season in 1998 through 2015, the WNBA operated separate playoff brackets for its Eastern and Western Conferences. Each conference's playoff was divided into two playoff rounds, the Conference Semi-Finals and the Conference Finals, with the Conference Finals winners receiving Conference Championships and advancing to the WNBA Finals to determine the WNBA champion. In the final years of this playoff scheme, all in-conference playoff series were best-of-three. Since 2016, the league has abandoned separate conference playoffs in favor of a single league-wide playoff bracket. Tiffany Kiara Hayes (born September 20, 1989) is an American-Azerbaijani professional basketball player for the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Hayes played college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies, playing for the 2009 and 2010 NCAA National Champions. Early life Hayes was born September 20, 1989 in Fort Polk, a town in western Louisiana to Dorothy and Renard Hayes. Monique Billings
Monique Charice Billings (born May 2, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was drafted into the WNBA in 2018 by the Dream. College career UCLA Billings played basketball at Santiago High School in Corona, California. She was a 4-year letterman there and also participated in the high jump on the track and field team. Billings was ranked in the top 30 by many recruiting services coming out of high school. Nia Coffey (born June 11, 1995) is an American professional basketball player with the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). A small forward, she was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA draft, which is the highest of any Northwestern Wildcats women's basketball, Northwestern basketball player in school history. Allisha Gray (born January 12, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and Elitzur Ramla of Israel. Beatrice Mompremier (born August 8, 1996) is an American basketball player who last played for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
