2023 Asia Road Racing Championship
The 2023 Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship is the 28th season of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The season started on 24 March at Chang International Circuit in Thailand and will end on 3 December back at Chang International Circuit. The season was marred by the fatal accident of Haruki Noguchi in the second ASB1000 race at Mandalika International Street Circuit. Asia Road Racing Championship
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (known as Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship for sponsorship reason) is the regional motorcycle road racing championship for Asia, held since 1996. This championship is part of the production-based category of racing, similar to the Supersport World Championship, British Supersport Championship, AMA Supersport Championship and Australian Supersport Championship. Modified versions of road-going motorcycles available to the public are featured in the race. The championship is currently divided into four open-make classes - the ASB1000 (Asia Superbikes), SuperSports 600cc, Asia Production 250cc and Underbone 150cc. The new Asian Superbikes class revived off in 2019. The Honda CBR600RR is a sport bike made by Honda since 2003, part of the CBR series. The CBR600RR was marketed as Honda's top-of-the-line middleweight sport bike, succeeding the 2002 Supersport World Champion 2001–2006 CBR600F4i, which was then repositioned as the tamer, more street-oriented sport bike behind the technically more advanced and uncompromising race-replica CBR600RR.
