2023 Arlington Renegades Season
The 2023 Arlington Renegades season is the second season for the Arlington Renegades as a professional American football franchise. They are charter members of the XFL, one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2023 season. The Renegades play their home games at the Choctaw Stadium and are led by head coach Bob Stoops. The Renegades had changed their franchise name from Dallas Renegades to Arlington Renegades prior to the 2023 season. Earning their first playoff berth, the Renegades eliminated the South Division regular season division champions Houston Roughnecks. With the win, the Renegades advance to the XFL Championship Game where they faced the DC Defenders, winning by a score of 35–26 to win their first ever XFL Championship. 2020 Dallas Renegades Season
The 2020 Dallas Renegades season was the first season for the Dallas Renegades as a professional American football franchise. They played as charter members of the XFL, one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2020 season. The Renegades played their home games at the Globe Life Park in Arlington and were led by head coach Bob Stoops. Their inaugural season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the XFL officially suspended operations for the remainder of the season on March 20, 2020. 2023 Orlando Guardians Season
The 2023 Orlando Guardians season was the second season for the Orlando Guardians as a professional American football franchise. They played as charter members of the XFL, one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2023 season. The Guardians played their home games at the Camping World Stadium and were led by head coach Terrell Buckley. The franchise also relocated from East Rutherford, New Jersey to Orlando, Florida prior to the season, changing their name from New York Guardians to Orlando Guardians. On January 1, 2024, it was announced that the 2023 season was the last season for the Guardians. Cole Cubelic
Cole Cubelic is a former college football player for the Auburn Tigers and current sports analyst. Cubelic played center for the Tigers from 1996-2001. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies. He joined ESPN in 2011 working as an analyst covering SEC football. In addition to the SEC, he also covered Sun Belt Conference football games. Beginning in 2009, Cubelic hosted the radio show "The Cube Show," which aired on WUMP in Huntsville, Alabama. Gregory Vincent McElroy, Jr. (born May 10, 1988) is an American football commentator and former quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL) in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft after playing college football at Alabama. During his high school career, McElroy won several awards including being named an EA Sports All-American and winning a Texas 5A state championship for Southlake Carroll. He was the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide football team. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. Alamodome
The Alamodome is a 64,000-seat domed indoor multi-purpose stadium in San Antonio, Texas. It is located on the southeastern fringe of downtown San Antonio. The facility opened on May 15, 1993, having been constructed at a cost of $186 million. The multi-purpose facility was intended to increase the city's convention traffic and attract a professional football franchise. It also placated the San Antonio Spurs' demands for a larger arena.
