Venezia Football Club, commonly referred to as Venezia, is a professional football club based in Venice, Italy, that currently plays in Serie B. Originally founded as Venezia Foot Ball Club in 1907, the club have spent a large part of their history in Italy's top two divisions. Venezia's biggest achievement to date was winning the Coppa Italia in the 1940–41 season. They followed this cup success up with their highest Serie A finish of third place in the following season. Stadium Venezia's Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo first opened in 1913 and takes its name from World War I pilot Pier Luigi Penzo. Francesco Zampano
Francesco Filippo Zampano (born 30 September 1993) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a full-back for club Venezia. Club career Sampdoria Born in Genoa, Liguria along with his twin brother Giuseppe, they spent their youth career inside the Italian region. Giuseppe and Francesco both played for Genoese side U.C. Sampdoria's U17 team during the 2009–10 season. Virtus Entella In the 2010–11 season both left for another Ligurian team Virtus Entella (named after the river). Nicholas Pierini (born 6 August 1998) is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward for club Venezia. Club career Sassuolo On 29 October 2017, Pierini made his professional debut in Serie A for Sassuolo as a substitute replacing Luca Mazzitelli in the 71st minute of a 3–1 away defeat against Napoli. On 20 December he played his first match as a starter in Coppa Italia, a 2–1 away defeat against Atalanta in the round of 16, he was replaced by Diego Falcinelli in the 54th minute. Loan to Spezia On 10 July 2018, Pierini was signed by Serie B side Spezia on a season-long loan deal. Luca Ceppitelli (born 11 August 1989) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a defender for club FC Sudtirol. Career Perugia Born in Castiglione del Lago, in the Province of Perugia, Umbria, Ceppitelli started his career at hometown club Perugia. He played once in 2006–07 Serie C1 season for the central Italy team, the last round of the season. Andria In January 2009 he left for southern Italy side A.S.
