2022–23 Süper Lig
The 2022–23 Süper Lig, officially called the Süper Lig 2022–23 season, will be the 65th season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier Association football, football league of Turkey. Teams A total of 19 teams contest the league, including 16 sides from the 2021–22 Süper Lig, 2021–22 season and 2021–22 TFF First League champions, runner-ups and play-off winners. Ankaragücü returned top level after one year in the second division and Ümraniyespor will compete in the Süper Lig for the first time in their history. The bottom four teams will be relegated to the TFF First League, 2023–24 TFF First League. Süper Lig
The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The league succeeded the Turkish Football Championship and the National Division, both being former top-level national competitions. The Süper Lig is currently 20th in the UEFA coefficient ranking of leagues based on club performances in European competitions over the last five years. Kayserispor
Kayseri Spor Kulübü, commonly known as Kayserispor, is a Turkish professional football club based in Kayseri. They play their home matches at the Kadir Has Stadium in red and yellow kits. The team has won one Turkish Cup in 2008 and also finished as Turkish Super Cup runners-up in the same year. Adana Demirspor Kulübü is a sports club based in Adana, Turkey. Founded by railway workers in 1940, the club is competitive in football, watersports, racquet sports and martial arts. Football team's thriving success at the Adana League and the water polo team's unbeaten National League titles in the first three decades, built a large worker fan base in the city and attracted landowners to finance the club. İstanbulspor is a Turkish football and sports club founded by Istanbul High School students in 1926. In 2004–05 they were relegated from the Turkish Süper Lig (Super League) to TFF 1. Lig.
