Peterborough United F
Peterborough ( ) is a cathedral city in the City of Peterborough district in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. The city is north of London, on the River Nene. As of the 2021 census, Peterborough had a population of 192,178, while the population of the district was 215,673. Morecambe ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England, on Morecambe Bay, part of the Irish Sea. In 2011 the parish had a population of 34,768. Name The first use of the name was by John Whitaker in his ''History of Manchester'' (1771), when he refers to the "æstury of Moricambe". It next appears four years later in ''Antiquities of Furness'', where the bay is described as "the Bay of Morecambe". Michael Hector
Michael Anthony James Hector (born 19 July 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back who plays for Dagenham & Redbridge. Born in England, he represents Jamaica at international level. Hector started his football journey at the Barking Abbey School 6th form academy. Then, Hector began his career in the youth teams at Millwall and Thurrock before moving to Reading in 2009 where he joined the academy. In his first two seasons at the club he spent time on loan at a succession of non-league sides including Didcot Town, Oxford City and Horsham. Hector signed professional terms with Reading in May 2010 and joined League of Ireland side Dundalk on loan in February 2011. James Shan
James Shan (born 28 October 1978) is an English football coach who is the Under-21 Head Coach at the Aston Villa Academy. Playing career Shan spent a three-month period in the youth set-up at Walsall at the age of 15. Following his spell at Walsall, Shan dropped down into non-league as a youth player, attending trials at Torquay United and Sheffield Wednesday. Shan also played for local club Paget Rangers. Coaching career Shan was a part of the coaching staff at his local club Birmingham City, coaching various age groups in the club's academy set-up. In 2006, Shan joined the coaching staff of West Bromwich Albion, working with the club's under-7s age group. Mark James McGuinness (born 5 January 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Luton Town. Born in England, McGuiness represents the Republic of Ireland national team. Alfreton ( or locally ) is a town and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The town was formerly a Norman Manor and later an Urban District. The population of the Alfreton parish was 8,799 at the 2021 Census. The villages of Ironville, Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick were historically part of the Manor and Urban District, and the population including these was 24,476 in 2001. The 2022–23 EFL Trophy, known as the Papa John's Trophy for sponsorship reasons, the 42nd season in the history of the competition, was a knock-out tournament for clubs in EFL League One and League Two, the third and fourth tiers of the English football league system, as well as the " Academy teams" of 16 Premier League clubs with Category One status. The 2022–23 EFL Cup was the 63rd season of the EFL Cup (known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons). The competition was open to all clubs participating in the Premier League and the English Football League. The winner of the competition qualified for the play-off round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. Liverpool were the defending champions, having beaten Chelsea on penalties to secure a record 9th title in the previous season's final, but were eliminated by Manchester City in the fourth round.
