The 2022–23 Primera Divisió was the 28th season of top-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 11 September 2022. The league champion qualified to compete in the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League. Primera Divisió
The Primera Divisió (First Division) or Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of men's football in Andorra. The league was launched in 1995 sponsored by the local federation (Andorran Football Federation) which was created just one year before. Until then, clubs had played since 1970 in an amateur league without a structure or affiliation with any official institution. Since affiliation to UEFA and FIFA in 1996, Andorran clubs are able to compete in the UEFA competitions. Until 2015 the league was known as ''Lliga Grup Becier'' and during 2016 ''Lliga Grup Sant Eloi''. It was renamed in 2017 as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons. All the teams in the league play in the same stadiums owned by the federation. The same occurs in all other Andorran competitions, such as the Copa Constitució and Andorran Supercup, Supercopa. Ordino
Ordino () is the most northerly parish in the Principality of Andorra. It's mostly the main area of Valira del Nord or ''Valira d'Ordino'' river valley. Ordino is also the name of the main town of the parish. Other settlements in the parish are El Serrat, Ansalonga, Sornàs, La Cortinada, Llorts, Segudet, Arans, Les Salines and Arcalís. It is home to the Sorteny National Park, the largest nature area of Andorra. It has a population of 4,858, as of 2017. The town preserves a vast medieval center, mainly linked to the culture of the country. Geography The parish has borders with France (Occitania) and also with the parishes of La Massana, Canillo, and Encamp. Eloy Gila Marín (born 21 June 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Andorran club FC Santa Coloma. Club career Born in Sabadell, Barcelona, Catalonia, Gila made his professional debut with UDA Gramenet in the Segunda División B, after playing two years with the reserves. In 2010 he signed with another club in his native region, Gimnàstic de Tarragona of Segunda División, initially as part of the farm team, CF Pobla de Mafumet. However, Gila appeared in only two games for Pobla, and after scoring five goals in the main squad's preseason he was summoned by first-team manager Luis César Sampedro. Escaldes–Engordany () is one of the seven parishes of Andorra. The Escaldes–Engordany parish was founded on 14 June 1978 and has the second largest population after Andorra la Vella. The parish is composed of the areas les Escaldes, Engordany, Els Vilars d'Engordany, Engolasters, and El Fener. As of 2014 it has a population of 13,634. Notable events include the town's annual jazz festival. La Massana
La Massana (; originally ''La Maçana'') is one of the seven parishes of Andorra, parishes of the Principality of Andorra. It is located in the northwest of the country. La Massana is also the name of the main town of the parish. The name Massana derives from the Latin name ''mattianam'' for a variety of apple. Other settlements in the parish are Pal, Andorra, Pal, Arinsal, Erts, Sispony, Anyós, L'Aldosa de la Massana, Puiol del Pui, Escàs, Els Plans, Mas de Ribafeta, Xixerella and Pui. CE Carroi
Club Esportiu Carroi is an Andorran football club based in the capital city of Andorra la Vella. The club currently plays in Segona Divisió. History Founded in 2014 as a football academy CE Carroi has been a successful club at the national youth level also taking part in internationally renowned youth competitions in Europe, such as the Mediterranean International Cup or the Andorra International Cup. Although, the club is known by his football academy and school, in July 2015 CE Carroi created a senior team to compete at the highest levels in the country thus being admitted in Segona Divisió.
