2022–23 Oklahoma State Cowgirls Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Oklahoma State Cowgirls basketball team represents Oklahoma State University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cowgirls, led by first year head coach Jacie Hoyt, will play their home games at Gallagher-Iba Arena and are members of the Big 12 Conference. Previous season The Cowgirls finished the season 9–20 overall and 3–15 in the Big 12 conference. In the Big 12 Tournament Oklahoma State was a nine seed and beat eighth seed Texas Tech 73–58, but would lose to number one seed Baylor 36–76. At the end of the regular season, Oklahoma State and head coach Jim Littell mutually agreed to part ways, but continued to coach through the Big 12 Tournament. Jacie Hoyt
Jacinta Renee Hoyt (born April 2, 1987) is the head women's college basketball coach for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls. Playing career Hoyt attended Hoxie High School in Kansas and played for her mother, Shelly. Jacie was a three-time all-state selection in volleyball and basketball. She scored more than 2,000 points in her high school career and averaged more than 26 points per game. In her senior season she averaged 28 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals a game. Hoyt then attended Colby Community College during her freshman season, playing seven games before breaking her ankle and ending her season. She then transferred to Wichita State, where she played the final three years of her career, starting every game of her junior and senior seasons. In her senior season, 2008–09, she led the Shockers with 71 assists, which ranked fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference. She graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State. The UTEP Miners women's basketball team represents University of Texas at El Paso in women's basketball. The school competes in Conference USA in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Miners play home basketball games at Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. The Mercer Bears women's basketball team represents Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Southern Conference. History Mercer began play in 1970. As of the end of the 2017–18 Southern Conference season, they have an all-time record of 688–670. The Arizona Wildcats women's basketball program is the official women's basketball program at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
