The 2022–23 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 83rd season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. The title holders were Ferencváros by winning the 2022 Magyar Kupa final. Match times up to 30 October 2022 and from 26 March 2023 were CEST (UTC+2). Times on interim ("winter") days were CET (UTC+1). Zalaegerszegi TE
Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet Football Club (), commonly known as Zalaegerszegi TE, Zalaegerszeg or ZTE, is a football club from the city of Zalaegerszeg in Hungary. Zalaegerszeg has won one Hungarian League title in 2002. History ZTE traces its roots back to 1912, at the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its first match was a 4–2 defeat to a team from Vasvár. The team was first composed of members of a literary and debating society. ZTE flourished under coach József Vadász, but World War I halted its progress. In 1920, Zalaegerszegi TE, or "Gymanistics Club of Zalaegerszeg," was born. They were defeated in their debut match, losing 2–1 to AK Szombathely on August 21, 1920, but were motivated by a crowd of over 2,000 fans. ZTE's league history began in 1924, when they joined the Hungarian second division. The club won the title a decade later and entered the top flight in 1934. Bálint Tόth (born 1955, Cluj/Kolozsvár/Klausenburg) is a Hungarian mathematician whose work concerns probability theory, stochastic process and probabilistic aspects of mathematical physics. He obtained PhD in 1988 from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, worked as senior researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the HAS and as professor of mathematics at TU Budapest. He holds the Chair of Probability at the University of Bristol and is a research professor at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics, Budapest. He has worked on microscopic models of Brownian motion, quantum spin systems, limit theorems for random walks with long memory, and non-conventional stochastic processes, hydrodynamic limits, etc. In particular, Tόth contributed to the theory of self-interacting motions, that is, motions that are "reinforced", "self-avoiding" or "self-repellent". Balatonszepezd is a village in Veszprém county, Hungary, on the northern shore of the Lake Balaton. History Balatonszepezd was first settled in the 13th century as a fishing village. It was first the domain of royal stewards, then of local nobles, and later on the bishop of Veszprém and the Benedictine Somogyvár Abbey. The old Roman Catholic church was built during this period. As a result of the Turkish invasion, it was almost completely destroyed; after the war, it was repopulated primarily by Germans. The village continued to grow and by the 18th century it was home to another two churches of Calvinist and Lutheran denomination, respectively.
