2022–23 Iowa State Cyclones Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represented Iowa State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cyclones were coached by T. J. Otzelberger in his second season as head coach, and 10th season at Iowa State. They played their home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa as members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 19–14, 9–9 in Big 12 Play to have a two-way tie for 5th place. They defeated Baylor in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament before losing to Kansas in the semifinals. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they were eliminated in the first round by Pittsburgh. Hilton Coliseum
James H. Hilton Coliseum, is a 14,267-seat multi-purpose arena located in Ames, Iowa. The arena opened in 1971. It is home to the Iowa State University Cyclones men's and women's basketball teams, wrestling, gymnastics and volleyball teams. Overview The building was constructed in 1971 as part of the Iowa State Center, an athletic and cultural events area located southeast of the main campus. The Coliseum was named after James H. Hilton, ISU's president from 1953 to 1965, who pushed for the construction of the facility. The Iowa State Center also includes Jack Trice Stadium, C.Y. 2021–22 Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2021–22 Big 12 men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Regular season conference play began in November 2021 and concludes in March 2022. The 2022 Big 12 men's basketball tournament was held March 9–12, 2022, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Baylor won their first ever National Championship in 2021, becoming the first Big 12 team to win the National Championship since Kansas in 2008. Western Carolina Catamounts Men's Basketball
The Western Carolina Catamounts men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men' basketball team that represents Western Carolina University. The team currently competes in the Southern Conference. Western Carolina won the 1996 Southern Conference tournament and participated in the 1996 NCAA tournament. The Texas Longhorns men's basketball team represents the University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball competition. Tyrese Hunter (born August 11, 2003) is an American college basketball player for the Memphis Tigers of the American Athletic Conference. He previously played for the Iowa State Cyclones and Texas Longhorns. High school career Hunter attended St Catherine's High School in Racine, Wisconsin where he played on the basketball team, scoring 1,589 career points, and leading the team to a Division 3 Wisconsin State Championship as a senior. Cleveland State Vikings men's basketball is the men's college basketball team that represents Cleveland State University. Prior to rebranding from Fenn College, they were known as the Cleveland State Vikings, Fenn College Foxes. Tristan Enaruna (born 26 June 2001) is a Dutch professional basketball player for the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, Iowa State Cyclones and the Cleveland State Vikings. Early career Born in Almere, Enaruna started playing junior basketball with Almere Pioneers. George Conditt IV (born August 22, 2000) is an American-Puerto Rican professional basketball player for Gigantes de Carolina in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional. He played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones and represents the Puerto Rican national basketball team in FIBA basketball competitions. Early life Conditt was born in Chicago, Illinois. Izaiah Antoine Brockington (born July 12, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Vancouver Bandits of the CEBL. He played college basketball for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Iowa State Cyclones. High school career Brockington played basketball for Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He entered the starting lineup as a sophomore.
