2022–23 Gonzaga Bulldogs Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball team represents Gonzaga University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bulldogs (also informally referred to as the "Zags"), are members of the West Coast Conference. The Bulldogs, led by ninth year head coach Lisa Fortier, play their home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center on the university campus in Spokane, Washington. Previous season The Bulldogs finished the season at 27–7 and 15–2 in WCC play to finish in second place. They won WCC women's tournament by defeating BYU. They received an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Tournament as a 9th seed in Wichita region where they defeated Nebraska in the first round before losing to Louisville in second round. Lisa Fortier
Lisa Mispley Fortier (born April 5, 1981) is an American basketball coach, currently the head coach of the women's basketball team at Gonzaga University. Early life and education Fortier, born Lisa Mispley, is the oldest of three children to Bill and Tami Mispley. Fortier played basketball at Placer High School before playing at both Butte College, Butte Community College and California State University, Monterey Bay. At Cal State, she earned honorable mention All California Collegiate Athletic Association, Cal-Pac Conference honors as a junior and was named to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, NAIA Academic All-America list in 2003. She graduated Latin honors, Magna Cum Laude from Cal State, Monterey Bay, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts, B.A. in human communication. Highlands Ranch High School, commonly referred to as Ranch or HRHS, is a public high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. It is part of the Douglas County School District. Manteca (Spanish for "lard") is a city in San Joaquin County, California. The city had a population of 83,498 as of the 2020 census. History Manteca is a city in the Central Valley of California, located east of San Francisco. It was founded in 1861 by Joshua Cowell. Cowell claimed around and built houses on what is now the corner of Main and Yosemite, where Bank of America now stands. In 1873, the Central Pacific Railroad laid track directly through the area. Panola College is a public community college in Carthage, Texas, the county seat of Panola County.
