Football Club Twente () is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Enschede, sometimes known internationally as Twente Enschede. The club was formed in 1965 by the merger of 1926 Dutch champions Sportclub Enschede with Enschedese Boys. It was the holder of the 2011 KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield trophies, and was Eredivisie champion in the 2009–10 season; the club has also finished as Eredivisie runner-up twice, was runner-up in the 1974–75 UEFA Cup, and has won the KNVB Cup three times. Gijs Smal
Gijs Smal (born 31 August 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Eredivisie club FC Twente. Club career Born in De Rijp, Smal made his Eerste Divisie debut for FC Volendam on 22 September 2017 in a game against De Graafschap. He then managed to establish himself in the starting line-up and made 28 league appearances in his first season. The following season, Smal lost the competition for left-back to Robin Schouten, who had come over from Jong Ajax, and mainly appeared as a substitute. However, he did become champion of the Derde Divisie Sunday with the reserve team, Jong Volendam. Under the new head coach Wim Jonk, he again became a starter for the first team in the 2019–20 season. Michal Sadílek (; born 31 May 1999) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club Twente and the Czech Republic national team. Club career Sadílek made his professional debut in the Eerste Divisie for Jong PSV on 4 November 2016 in a game against Helmond Sport. On 7 August 2021, he joined FC Twente on loan. Przemysław Tytoń
Przemysław Tytoń (; born 4 January 1987) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Eredivisie club Twente. Club career Born in Zamość, Tytoń played for Górnik Łęczna until the end of the 2006–07 season when the Polish first-league club was relegated to the third division because of corruption. Mathias Ullereng Kjølø (born 27 June 2001) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club Twente. Joshua Benjamin Brenet (born 20 March 1994) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Eredivisie club Twente. Club career Brenet is a graduate of PSV's youth academy, having joined the club in 2011 from Zeeburgia. Christos Tzolis ( el, Χρήστος Τζόλης; born 30 January 2002) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Norwich City and the Greece national team. Michel Vlap (; born 2 June 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Twente. He has represented the Netherlands internationally at various youth levels. Though his preferred position is in an advanced midfield role, Vlap is also able to play on the wing and as a forward. Sem Steijn (born 12 November 2001) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Eredivisie club Twente. Career Steijn is a youth product of SV KMD and ADO Den Haag.
