The 2022–23 season was FC Ararat Yerevan's 32nd consecutive season in Armenian Premier League, where they will also compete in the Armenian Cup and Europa Conference League. Season events On 17 January, Serob Galstyan extended his contract with Ararat Yerevan until the summer of 2025. Football Club Ararat Yerevan ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Արարատ Երևան), commonly known as Ararat Yerevan, is an Armenian football club based in Yerevan that plays in the Armenian Premier League. Since 1999, the club is owned by the Switzerland Armenian businessmen Vartan Sirmakes. The badge shows a white eagle standing on a football and is a reference to the club nickname. Georgi Babaliev ( Bulgarian: Георги Бабалиев; born 14 March 2001) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Babaliev started his youth career in the local Karnobat, before moving to Chernomorets Burgas and later to Ludogorets Razgrad. Football Club Shirak ( hy, Շիրակ Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ), commonly known as Shirak, is an Armenian professional sports club based in Gyumri. Shirak is known for its professional football team which is one of the oldest football clubs in Armenia, having been created in 1958. Hrayr Mkoyan ( hy, Հրայր Մկոյան, born 2 September 1986) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Shirak, which he captains, and the Armenia national team.
