Pacific Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Pacific Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. It is also one of the two successors of the Smythe Division (the other one was the Northwest Division), though of the current teams, only the Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights did not play in the Smythe Division. Due to subsequent realignments, three of the Pacific Division's original teams (the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks) left the division in 1998 but returned in 2013. The division is the only one in the NHL without any Original Six teams. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting closure of the Canada-United States border, all eight teams were transferred into two different divisions for the 2020–21 NHL season. 2022–23 Winnipeg Jets Season
The 2022–23 Winnipeg Jets season was the 24th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997, and the 12th in Winnipeg, since the franchise relocated from Atlanta prior to the start of the 2011–12 NHL season. This was the first season since the Jets moved from Atlanta that the team did not have a captain, as Blake Wheeler was stripped of his captaincy on September 16, 2022. The Jets clinched a playoff spot after defeating the Minnesota Wild on April 11, 2023, but lost to the Pacific Division champion, the Vegas Golden Knights, in five games in the First Round. Jack Campbell (ice Hockey)
Jack Campbell (born January 9, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Prior to his professional career, Campbell played for the Windsor Spitfires and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. He was selected in the first round (11th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in 2013. Calvin Pickard
Calvin Pickard (born April 15, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently playing for the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Pickard was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (49th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He played his junior hockey with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was the first selection by the Vegas Golden Knights during the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. His older brother, Chet, also a goaltender, was drafted in the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators.
