2022–23 DePaul Blue Demons Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team represented DePaul University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by second-year head coach Tony Stubblefield and played their home games at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois as members of the Big East Conference. The Demons finished the season 10–23, 3–17 in Big East play to finish in tenth place. They defeated Seton Hall in the first round of the Big East tournament before losing to Xavier in the quarterfinals. On January 10, 2023, DePaul defeated Villanova for the first time since 2008, snapping a 22-game losing streak to the Wildcats over 15 years. Tony Stubblefield
Anthony Gerard Stubblefield (born March 28, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head men's basketball coach at DePaul University. He was previously an assistant for University of Oregon, University of Cincinnati and New Mexico State University, where he also served as interim head coach during the 2004–2005 season due to Lou Henson's illness. Playing career Stubblefield starred at Broomfield (Colorado) High School and played two seasons at Clinton Community College in Iowa before transferring to Nebraska–Omaha for his final two years of eligibility. He'd serve as team captain his senior season. Coaching career Following graduation, Stubblefield has served as an assistant coach at Omaha, Texas–San Antonio, Texas–Arlington, and New Mexico State. South Florida Bulls Men's Basketball
The South Florida Bulls men's basketball team represents the University of South Florida in NCAA Division I basketball competition, where they are currently a member of the American Athletic Conference. The LIU Sharks men's basketball team represents Long Island University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. They play their home games at their Brooklyn Campus in the Steinberg Wellness Center and Barclays Center, formerly known as the Wellness, Recreation & Athletics Center, and are members of the Northeast Conference.
