The 2022–23 Armenian Cup was the 32nd edition of the Association football, football competition in Armenia. The competition began on 4 October 2022 and ended on 13 May, with FC Urartu, Urartu lifting their 4th title. Teams First round On 20 September 2022 the draw for the First Round of the Armenian Cup took place, drawing 4 clubs from the Armenian First League with the 8 lowest ranked clubs from the previous season of the Armenian Premier League together. Quarterfinals On 19 October, the draw for the Quarterfinal of the cup took place. Semi–finals On 30 November, the draw for the Semi–final of the cup took place. Football Club Urartu ( hy, Ուրարտու Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ, translated ''Futbolayin Akumb Urartu''), commonly known as Urartu, is an Armenian professional football team based in the capital Yerevan that currently plays in the Armenian Premier League. Agdon Santos Menezes (born 26 January 1993), sometimes known as just Agdon, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Armenian Premier League club Pyunik. Career Born in Salvador, Bahia, Agdon Menezes is a youth product of Esporte Clube Vitória, playing for two seasons with their under-20 side and helping them win the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 in 2012. Vagharshapat ( hy, Վաղարշապատ ) is the 4th-largest city in Armenia and the most populous municipal community of Armavir Province, located about west of the capital Yerevan, and north of the closed Turkish-Armenian border.
