2022 World Shotgun Championships
The 2022 World Shotgun Championships were held from 19 September to 12 October 2022 in Osijek, Croatia. The championships are a major qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games, with quota places for the Games being distributed in both men's and women's individual trap and skeet competitions. International Shooting Sport Federation
The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events in rifle, pistol and shotgun ( clay target) disciplines, and of several non-Olympic shooting sport events. ISSF's activities include regulation of the sport, Olympic qualifications and organization of international competitions such as the ISSF World Cup Series, the ISSF World Cup Finals, the ISSF Separate World Championship in Shotgun events and the ISSF World Championship in all events. Founded in 1907 as the International Shooting Union (french: Union Internationale de Tir), and then changing its name in 1998, the ISSF affiliates nowadays over 150 National Shooting Federations from Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková (born 15 January 1984) is a female Slovak sports shooter. She won the gold medal in the Women's Trap event at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Career Her first big successes were bronze medals from 2002 World and European Junior Championships. She also placed fourth at the 2001 World Junior Championships and fifth at the 1999 World Junior Championship. As a junior, she also competed in double trap, her best results were the 6th place from the 2001 World Junior Championships and 7th place from the 1999 World Junior Championship. Fátima Gálvez Marín (born 19 January 1987) is a Spanish sport shooter. She was the World champion in the individual trap event at the 2015 World Shotgun Championships, and won the Olympic champion in the team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Gálvez won a silver medal in the women's trap at the first meet of the 2011 ISSF Shotgun World Cup series in Concepcion, Chile, with a score of 91 clay pigeons, earning her first Olympic participation. Gálvez represented Spain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she competed in the women's trap. Gálvez barely advanced to the final, after scoring a total of 70 targets from the qualifying rounds, and winning a three-person shoot-off against Finland's Satu Mäkelä-Nummela and Russia's Elena Tkach, with a bonus of 12 points.
