2022 Valencian Community Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2022 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana) was the twentieth and final round of the 2022 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It was held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on 6 November 2022. The MotoGP riders' championship was decided in this race between Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia. Bagnaia secured his first MotoGP riders' title after finishing in ninth, as Quartararo's fourth-place-finish was eventually not enough to successfully defend his title. This was also the last race for Suzuki as a factory team in the premier class since they returned in . In the Moto2 class, Augusto Fernández (motorcyclist), Augusto Fernández claimed the riders' title by finishing in second behind Pedro Acosta (motorcyclist), Pedro Acosta, whilst his closest championship rival Ai Ogura retired after an accident. Barry Baltus (born 3 May 2004) is a Belgian Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Career Moto3 World Championship Baltus contested the season as a full-time rider in the Moto3 World Championship for CarXpert Prüstel GP, despite missing the opening race of the season due to him being under the age limit. Moto2 World Championship In 2021, Baltus moved to the Moto2 class with NTS RW Racing GP. A free practice crash at the opening round in Qatar resulted in a wrist injury which delayed his race debut until the fifth round in France. Takaaki Nakagami
is a Japanese Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for LCR Honda Idemitsu in MotoGP. He won the Japanese Road Race Championship 125cc class in 2006 and J-GP2 class in 2011. Career Early career Born in Chiba, Nakagami joined the Japanese Road Race Championship in the GP125 category in 2005 joining the Harc-Pro Honda Team finishing 13th as a rookie in the series. He stayed in the Japanese 125cc championship for 2006 with Harc-Pro again, winning every race of the season; becoming the youngest-ever Japanese 125cc champion. Marcel Schrötter (born 2 January 1993) is a German motorcycle racer. Born in Vilgertshofen, Schrötter started out in the German 125cc National Championship in 2007 and finished fifth in his debut campaign, before he took back-to-back titles in 2008 and 2009. In the 2008 season the young german made his World Championship debut as a wildcard rider at the Sachsenring, before three further races in 2009, with a highly impressive fifth place in the final round of the season at Valencia. 2022 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 74th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo came into the season as the defending World Champion.
