The 2022 Tour de France Femmes, (officially Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift), was the first edition of the current Tour de France Femmes, one of women's cycling's two grand tours. The race started on 24 July and finished on 31 July 2022, and is the 16th event in the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. Overview Classification standings Stage 1 ;24 July 2022 – Paris ( Tour Eiffel) to Champs-Élysées, The first stage of the inaugural edition of the Tour de France Femmes took place entirely in Paris, with the riders tackling 11 laps of a circuit around the Champs-Élysées. The circuit is identical to the one tackled by the men's peloton during the final stage of the Tour. There were two intermediate sprints situated after and of racing. The 2022 Tour de France Femmes (officially Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift) was the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes, one of women's cycling's two grand tours. The race took place from 24 to 31 July 2022, and was the 16th event in the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. The race followed years of campaigning by the women's professional peloton for an equivalent race to the men's Tour de France, after historic attempts failed due to financial difficulties, limited media coverage and trademark issues. The race was organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), which also organises the men's Tour de France. The race was won by Annemiek van Vleuten of . At the start of the race, van Vleuten suffered from a stomach bug, causing her to lose almost a minute to some of her rivals for the ''maillot jaune''. Tamara Dronova (russian: Тамара Дронова, née Balabolina; born 13 August 1993) is a Russian track and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team in road racing, and UCI Track Team Marathon–Tula in track cycling. Elisa Balsamo (born 27 February 1998) is an Italian road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Team , and represents Italy at international competitions.
