2022 Texas State Bobcats Baseball Team
The 2022 Texas State Bobcats baseball team represented Texas State University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bobcats played their home games at Bobcat Ballpark and were led by third-year head coach Steven Trout. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Steven Trout
Steven L. Trout (born October 4, 1984) is an American college baseball coach and former infielder. He is the head baseball coach of Texas State University. Trout played college baseball at Texarkana College from 2004 to 2005 before transferring to Texas Christian University where he played for coach Jim Schlossnagle in 2006 and 2007. Playing career Trout attended Hooks High School in Hooks, Texas. Trout played for the school's varsity baseball, football, basketball and golf. Trout then enrolled at Texarkana College, to play college baseball for the Texarkana Bulldogs team. As a freshman at Texarkana College in 2004, Trout had a .312 batting average, 8 home runs, and 25 RBIs. As a sophomore in 2005, Trout batted .353 with four home runs. In the 2006 season as a junior, Trout hit .286 with 2 home runs and 33 RBIs. Pearland High School
Pearland High School (PHS) is an American public high school, located in Pearland, Texas, south of Houston. It is one of three high schools in the Pearland Independent School District, and serves parts of Pearland and most of the city of Brookside Village. Silsbee is a town in Hardin County, Texas, United States. This city is 21 miles north of Beaumont. The population was 6,935 at the 2020 census. Lufkin High School
Lufkin High School is a public high school located in Lufkin, Texas (United States) and is classified as a 5A school by the University Interscholastic League. It is part of the Lufkin Independent School District that serves the Lufkin area and central Angelina County. History Following the desegregation of Lufkin ISD in 1971, Lufkin High School and Dunbar High School, the formerly African-American School in Lufkin, consolidated. Lufkin, Texas
Lufkin is the largest city in Angelina County, Texas and the county seat. The city is situated in Deep East Texas and about 60 miles west of the Texas-Louisiana border. Its estimated population is 35,021 as of July 1, 2019. Lufkin was founded in 1884 and named for Abraham P. Lufkin. It originally served as a stop on the Houston, East and West Texas Railway.
