2022 Spielberg Formula 3 Round
The 2022 Spielberg Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 9 and 10 July 2022 at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Austria. It was the fifth round of the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was held in support of the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix. Driver changes The only driver change took part at MP Motorsport as Alexander Smolyar returned to the grid after being replaced by Euroformula Open driver Filip Ugran in Silverstone due to visa problems, preventing him from entering the United Kingdom. Classification Qualifying Hitech Grand Prix driver Isack Hadjar achieved his maiden pole position by 0.221 seconds ahead of fellow Frenchman and championship leader Victor Martins, and Oliver Bearman. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Alexander Alexandrovich Smolyar ( rus, Александр Александрович Смоляр; born 19 July 2001) is a Russian racing driver who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for MP Motorsport. Racing career Lower formulae 2017 was Smolyar's debut season in single-seater racing. He competed for SMP Racing in the Spanish and Russian Formula 4 Championships, finishing 3rd in both. William Alatalo
William Alatalo (born 19 April 2002) is a Finnish-Ethiopian racing driver from Ilmajoki who most recently raced for Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
