The 2022 South American Basketball Championship for Women was the 37th edition of the South American Basketball Championship for Women, tournament. Eight teams was featured in the competition, held at Arena La Pedrera in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Villa Mercedes and Estadio Ave Fénix in San Luis, Argentina, San Luis, Argentina from August 1 to 6. San Luis, Argentina
San Luis () is the capital city of San Luis Province in the Cuyo region of Argentina. It is also the seat of the Juan Martín de Pueyrredón Department. Waleska ( ) is a city in Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. The population was 644 at the 2010 census. History The first white settlement in the Waleska area began in the early 1830s. Among these first pioneer settlers were the Reinhardt, Heard and Rhyne families, who moved into the region looking for fresh, fertile farm land. At first, these settlers lived among the Cherokee population already established in the area, but by 1838 all of the Cherokee had been forced westward to Oklahoma in the U.S. government relocation movement known as the Trail of Tears. Early settler Lewis W. Reinhardt established a church in 1834 in the settlement known as Reinhardt Chapel and befriended many of the native Cherokee population. ''Lucía'' is a 1968 Cuban black-and-white drama film directed by Humberto Solás, and written by Solás, Julio García Espinosa and Nelson Rodríguez. It was the winner of the Golden Prize and the Prix FIPRESCI at the 6th Moscow International Film Festival in 1969. The film is a period piece, told in three stories in different moments of Cuban history (the Cuban war of independence, the 1930s during the regime of Gerardo Machado and the 1960s), all as seen through the eyes of a different woman, each named Lucía. ''Lucia'' was digitally restored by the Cineteca di Bologna with funding from World Cinema Project and Turner Classic Movies and later screened at the Cannes Classics section of the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May 2017. Diana Cabrera (basketball)
Diana Valerie Cabrera (born 18 March 1984 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Uruguayan-Canadian sports shooter. The Cabrera, who weighed in at in 2015, began shooting in September 1999 at the Scarborough Rifle Club. She initially took up the sport for her father, who feared having to give up his extensive firearms collection due to an illness. He asked her to acquire a possession and acquisition licence (PAL) so she could keep his collection. Cabrera's talent was recognized at the club and she began to shoot competitively. In 2006, while a student at Centennial College, Cabrera represented Canada for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in the discipline 50-metre rifle. However, she began competing for Uruguay, her parents' home country, which would pay her travel expenses to international events. Daniela Wallen Morillo (born 4 April 1995) is a Venezuelan basketball player for Keflavík of the Úrvalsdeild kvenna and the Venezuela national team. She played college basketball for Northwest Florida State College and Oklahoma City University and won the NAIA championship with the later in 2017. Following her college career, she has played professionally in three continents. In 2018, she won the Paraguayan League championship with Sol de América Asunción and the following year she won the Finnish championship as a member of Peli-Karhut.
