2022 Saskatchewan New Democratic Party Leadership Election
An election for the leadership of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party was held on June 26, 2022 in Regina, Saskatchewan as a result of the resignation of Ryan Meili. Carla Beck was chosen the party's first elected female leader. Rules All Saskatchewan New Democratic Party members in good standing were eligible to vote online, by mail-in ballot, or in person at the convention. Eric H. Cline (born August 12, 1955) is a former Canadians, Canadian politician. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as the New Democratic Party of Saskatchewan, New Democratic Party (NDP) Member of the Legislative Assembly for Saskatoon Centre, Saskatoon Idylwyld from 1991 to 1995, Saskatoon Mount Royal from 1995 to 2003, and Saskatoon Massey Place 2003 to 2007. Weyburn-Big Muddy is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. Located in southeastern Saskatchewan, the constituency was created through the ''Representation Act, 1994'' (Saskatchewan) by combining most of the Weyburn district with part of Bengough-Milestone. Pat Atkinson
Patricia "Pat" Atkinson (born September 27, 1952) is a Canadian provincial politician. She was a Saskatchewan New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1986 to 2011, and is currently the longest-serving female MLA in Saskatchewan's history. She was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Roy Atkinson, and received degrees in arts and education from the University of Saskatchewan. She worked as a teacher therapist and school principal for the Radius Community School in Saskatoon. Atkinson also served on the board of the Saskatoon Community Clinic. She ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Saskatchewan assembly in 1982. Atkinson was first elected in 1986, while the NDP was still in opposition.
