2022 Production Alliance Group 300
The 2022 Production Alliance Group 300 was the second stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series and the 23rd iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Fontana, California at Auto Club Speedway, a 2-mile (3.22 km) permanent oval-shaped speedway. The race was run over 165 laps due to three overtime finishes. Cole Custer of SS-Green Light Racing would win the race after leading the most laps. This was Cole's tenth career win in the Xfinity Series, his first of the season, and the first career win for SS-Green Light Racing. To fill out the podium, Noah Gragson of JR Motorsports and Trevor Bayne of Joe Gibbs Racing would finish second and third, respectively. Production Alliance Group 300
Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series has been held at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California since the track's inauguration in 1997. The 300-mile (480 km) event is currently named Production Alliance Group 300 for sponsorship reasons since 2019. The race is usually scheduled in late March as the fifth event of the schedule and as a support event for the NASCAR Cup Series' Auto Club 400. Adam Alexander (born July 11, 1973) is a television announcer with Fox Sports. He currently is the play-by-play announcer for Fox's NASCAR Xfinity Series coverage and a host of ''NASCAR Race Hub''. Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) is an American professional stock car racing organization owned and operated by former Washington Redskins (today the Washington Commanders) coach Joe Gibbs, which first started racing on the NASCAR circuit in 1991. His son, J. D. Gibbs, ran the team with him until his death in 2019.
