2022 Pittsburgh Panthers Baseball Team
The Pittsburgh Panthers baseball team is a baseball team that represents the University of Pittsburgh in the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Panthers are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Coastal Division and play their home games at Charles L. Cost Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are led by fourth-year head coach Mike Bell. Previous season The Panthers finished the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season 23–20 overall (16–17 conference) and tied for fifth place in Coastal Division standings. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Panthers were selected to play in the 2021 ACC Tournament. The Panthers would eventually lose in Pool Play 0–2 to NC State Wolfpack. Mike Bell (baseball Coach)
Michael John Bell (born October 14, 1972) is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher. Bell is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers baseball team. Amateur career Bell attended Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida. As a member of the baseball team, Bell was a two-time All-Area selection. Upon graduation from Riverview, Bell enrolled at Pasco–Hernando State College. Bell was the first ever baseball signee in the history of Pasco–Hernando State, helping the Bobcats build their field, and hitting the first home run in program history. After graduating from Pasco–Hernando State, Bell accepted a baseball scholarship offer from Florida State University. In 1993, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Bell helped the Seminoles to back-to-back College World Series appearances in 1994 and 1995. Anderson High School is a public high school in the Forest Hills Local School District in Hamilton County, Ohio. History Established in 1929, Anderson High School is a high school in the Greater Cincinnati area. Anderson was a Blue Ribbon School from 1994 - 1996 as awarded by the United States Department of Education When founded, the school mascot was a comet, but the mascot was changed to Redskins prior to the 1936-37 school year. In 2017, renovations began on the aging Anderson High School building as a result of a passage of a bond issue in 2014.
