2022 North Carolina FC Season
The 2022 North Carolina FC season was the 16th season of the club's existence, and their second season in USL League One and the third division of the American soccer pyramid. North Carolina was coached by John Bradford, his second season with the club, and played their home games at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park. The club had finished at the bottom of the table in their first season in USL League One. North Carolina FC is an American professional soccer team in Cary, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. Founded in 2006, the team plays in USL League One, the third tier of the American league system. The team has played its home games at the 10,000-seat WakeMed Soccer Park since 2007. The team's colors are Atlantic blue, cardinal red, and Southern gold. On December 6, 2016, the Carolina RailHawks announced a name change to North Carolina Football Club in pursuit of becoming a Major League Soccer franchise. The UNC Greensboro Spartans men's soccer team is the varsity intercollegiate athletic team of University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. The team is a member of the Southern Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. UNCG's first men's soccer team was fielded in 1971. Garrett McLaughlin
Garrett McLaughlin (born November 10, 1997) is an American soccer player who currently plays for USL League One side North Carolina FC. Career Youth and college McLaughlin played high school soccer at Heritage Hall, where he was a two-time Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year and led the school to 3 state championships. McLaughlin played four years of college soccer at Southern Methodist University between 2016 and 2019. McLaughlin made 72 appearances, scored 36 goals and tallied 13 assists for the Mustangs. Oalex Anderson (born 11 November 1995 in Barrouallie) is a Vincentian professional footballer who plays for North Carolina FC in USL League One and the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines national team. Anderson is known by the nickname "Bounty" for his prolific goal scoring. Showkat Ali Tahir (born 3 May 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward. Josue Soto (born January 3, 1989) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for USL League One club Tormenta FC. Career Academy Soto trained with the Houston Dynamo first team in the summers of 2008 and 2010, but he missed 2009 due to injury. Arthur Bosua (born 26 January 1996) is an American soccer player who plays as a forward for South Georgia Tormenta in the USL League One.
