2022 Nepal T20 League
The 2022 Nepal T20 League, was inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 League, a professional men's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal. The tournament was played from 24 December 2022 to 11 January 2023. Lumbini All Stars became the inaugural champions of Nepal T20 League after defeating Biratnagar Super Kings by 24 runs in the final. Cricket Association Of Nepal
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is the official governing body of cricket in Nepal. It was suspended from 2016 to 13 October 2019 due to governmental interference. The ICC welcomed the elections of the board held in September 2019 and formally reinstated the board on a conditional basis on 14 October. Its headquarters is in Kathmandu, Nepal. Cricket Association of Nepal is Nepal's representative at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and remains an associate member, having been a member since 1988 AD (2045 BS). It is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The board was dissolved by the government of Nepal in November 2014 on the grounds of incompetence and a three-member ad hoc committee was established with a new president designated by the government itself. The Nepal T20 League (abbreviated as NepalT20) is a Nepalese men's Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Cricket Association of Nepal in 2022. The first edition of the tournament was held from 24 December 2022 to 11 January 2023. History The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) signed a NPR 330 million agreement with Indian sports management company Seven3Sports for a period of eight years to hold a franchise Twenty20 league tournament on 26 April 2022. Prithu Baskota ( ne, पृथु बाँसकोटा) (born 5 July 1992) is a Nepalese cricketer. All-rounder Prithu is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Maldives in November 2010. He represents the APF Club of the National League and GoldenGate International College, which plays in the SPA Cup. Playing career Baskota was selected as part of Nepal's fourteen man squad for the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates, making his Twenty20 debut during the tournament against Hong Kong. Sikandar Raza Butt (} ; born 24 April 1986) is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer, who plays all formats primarily as a batter.
