2022 NAL Season
The 2022 National Arena League season was the fifth and most recent season of the National Arena League (NAL). The league played with only six teams from around the Eastern United States area, with one new team arriving from the American Arena League, which were the San Antonio Gunslingers. The season ended with the Albany Empire, Carolina Cobras, Columbus Lions, and Jacksonville Sharks all going into the playoffs. The season ended with the Albany Empire winning the championship. In July, the league announced that they will have a expansion team for the following season, which was shown to be given to Fayetteville, North Carolina. Teams For 2022, the NAL consisted of six teams without conferences or divisions. Each team with the exception of the Carolina Cobras and the Jacksonville Sharks (they both played 14 games) played 12 games, six home and six away, while the 14-game teams had seven home and seven away. National Arena League
The National Arena League (NAL) is a professional indoor football league that began play in 2017. It consists of teams based on the East Coast of the United States. Teams' typical payroll budget is $600,000 per season, while players are paid $200 per week, and veterans can make $225 with the potential raises for loyalty on a year-by-year basis. Additionally, $50 bonus is given to players on the winning team each week. The teams also provide housing for its players during the season. Amway Center
Amway Center is an indoor arena located in Downtown Orlando, Florida. The arena is home to the Orlando Magic of the NBA, the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, and the Orlando Predators of the National Arena League. Amway Center hosted the 2012 NBA All-Star Game and the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game. Orlando Predators (NAL)
The Orlando Predators are a professional indoor football team based in Orlando, Florida, with home games at the Amway Center and is a member of the National Arena League. They played their first season in 2019 and are marketed as a revival of the Orlando Predators, who played 25 seasons in the Arena Football League from 1991 to 2016. The original owners of the NAL team acquired the Predators' trademarks in late 2018 after the previous owner, David A. Siegel, allowed them to lapse. Siaha Burley (born July 16, 1977) is an American former arena football wide receiver and former head coach. He played college football at UCF Knights football, UCF and was also the head coach of the Jacksonville Sharks from 2017 to 2019 before returning to the team for 2022. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena
VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena (originally Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena) is a multi-purpose arena located in Jacksonville, Florida. It currently serves as the home arena of the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL, the Jacksonville Giants of the American Basketball Association, and the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League.
