2022 Michigan Wolverines Football Team
The 2022 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Wolverines were led by eighth-year head coach Jim Harbaugh and compiled an overall record of 12–0 (9–0 in the conference), winning the Big Ten East Division title for the second consecutive season. Big Ten Conference
The Big Ten Conference (stylized B1G, formerly the Western Conference and the Big Nine Conference, among others) is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference in the United States. The 2022 Fiesta Bowl (officially known as the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl for sponsorship reasons) was a college football bowl game played on December 31, 2022, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game was the 52nd annual playing of the Fiesta Bowl, one of the two semifinals of the 2022–23 College Football Playoff (CFP), and was one of the bowl games concluding the 2022 FBS football season. Mike Morris (defensive End)
Michael Morris Jr. (born April 22, 2001) is an American professional football defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was an All-American playing college football for the Michigan Wolverines and was selected by the Seahawks in the 2023 NFL draft. College career Morris attended American Heritage School in Florida. He originally committed to Florida State University to play college football before switching to the University of Michigan. Morris played in only one game his first two years at Michigan in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he appeared in 14 games and made four starts, recording 16 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one interception. Rimington Trophy
The Dave Rimington Trophy is awarded to the player considered to be the best center in college football. Dave Rimington was a center who played at the University of Nebraska from 1979 to 1982. Olusegun Oluwatimi (born August 5, 1999) is an American professional football center for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Virginia Cavaliers and the Michigan Wolverines. He was an All-American with Michigan, winning the Rimington Trophy, Outland Trophy, and the Joe Moore Award in 2022. The 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the 153rd season of college football in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at its highest level of competition, the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The regular season began on August 27 and ended on December 10. The postseason began on December 16, and, aside from any all-star games that are scheduled, ended on January 9, 2023, with the College Football Playoff National Championship at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
