2022 Michigan Wolverines Baseball Team
The 2022 Michigan Wolverines baseball team represented the University of Michigan in the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wolverines, led by head coach Erik Bakich in his tenth season, are a member of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Wilpon Baseball Complex in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Wolverines won the 2022 Big Ten baseball tournament and qualified for the NCAA tournament. Previous season The Wolverines finished the 2021 season 27–19, including 27–17 in conference play, finishing in third place in their conference. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Wolverines received an at-large bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, where they lost to UConn and Central Michigan in the NCAA Regional. Erik Bakich
Erik Michael Bakich (born November 27, 1977) is an American baseball coach and former left fielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Clemson Tigers. Bakich played college baseball at San Jose City College (1997–1998) and East Carolina University for head coach Keith LeClair from 1999 to 2000. He served as the head coach of Maryland Terrapins (2010–2012) and the Michigan Wolverines (2013–2022). Early life Bakich attended Bellarmine College Preparatory, graduating in 1996. Bakich played baseball at East Carolina University in 1999 and 2000. He played as a left fielder with a 1.000 fielding percentage with 91 putouts, .315 batting average, 14 home runs, 85 RBIs, and 87 runs. Milton, Wisconsin
Milton is a city in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,716 at the 2020 census. History The city was formed as a result of the 1967 merger of the villages of Milton and Milton Junction. In November of that year, ballots were cast by 1,093 voters from both villages (Milton: 515 to 47 in favor of the merge; Milton Junction: 322 to 201 in favor of the merge), and the referendum to merge the two was approved by 77%. Originally named Prairie du Lac, Milton was settled in 1838 by Joseph Goodrich, who from Alfred, New York came with his family to the locality for religious and educational reasons. As soon as he moved he organized a Seventh Day Baptist Church in November 1840 and in 1844 a school that would later become a college, and he also built an inn, a Milton House, without crossing two trade routes. Normal West High School is a public high school in Normal, Illinois. The mascot is the wildcat and school colors are black and silver.
