2022 Maryland Cycling Classic
The 2022 Maryland Cycling Classic was the first edition of the Maryland Cycling Classic. It was held on 4 September 2022 as part of the 2022 UCI ProSeries calendar. Teams 4 of the 19 UCI WorldTeams, two UCI ProTeams, nine UCI Continental teams and the American national team made up the 16 teams that participated in the race. In total, 111 riders started the race. 2022 UCI ProSeries
The 2022 UCI ProSeries is the third season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The original calendar consisted of 56 events, of which 30 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 26 are stage races (2.Pro). Quinn Simmons (born May 8, 2001) is an American road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Simmons' first sport was ski mountaineering, for which he won the bronze medal in the cadet category in the 2017 World Championships. After switching to road cycling, he won the 2019 world junior road race championships, and the 2018 US junior national road race and time trial championships. On July 22, 2021, Simmons took his first professional victory on Stage 3 of the Tour de Wallonie, taking the overall lead in the process.
