2022 Korea Open (badminton)
The 2022 Korea Open was a badminton tournament that took place at Palma Indoor Stadium in Suncheon, South Korea, from 5–10 April 2022. The tournament had a total prize pool of $360,000. Tournament The 2022 Korea Open was the eighth tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour and was part of the Korea Open championships, which had been held since 1991. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Korea Association with sanction from the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at Palma Indoor Stadium in Suncheon, South Korea. This was the first Korea Open to be held in Suncheon. Suncheon
Suncheon () (''Suncheon-si'') is a city in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is a scenic agricultural and industrial city of around 250,000 people near Suncheon Bay. It is located in the southeastern corner of Jeollanam-do, just over an hour south-east of Gwangju. Forty minutes south of Suncheon is the port city of Yeosu, and twenty minutes to the east of Suncheon is Gwangyang. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (; born October 20, 1996) is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event. He became the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics, having also won bronze in 2014. Ginting was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. Shesar Hiren Rhustavito (born 3 March 1994) is an Indonesian badminton player who affiliate with Djarum club. He won four consecutives Indonesia International tournament, two times at the USM International in Semarang, and two times at the Victor International in Surabaya. Rhustavito was part of the Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. Sitthikom Thammasin ( th, สิทธิคมน์ ธรรมศิลป์; born 7 April 1995) is a Thai badminton player. He won the men's singles title at the 2012 Singapore International Series when he was 17. Kunlavut Vitidsarn ( th, กุลวุฒิ วิทิตศานต์; simply known as View ( th, วิว); born 11 May 2001) is a Thai badminton player. He was three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Vitidsarn became the first men's singles player to win three World Junior Championships titles, joining Ratchanok Intanon and Chen Qingchen as a three-time winner of the World Junior title in the same discipline.
