2022 Japan Curling Championships
The 2022 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 39th Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from May 22 to 29 at the Tokoro Curling Club in Tokoro, Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan. Both the men's and women's events were played in a round robin format which qualified four teams for a page playoff. Because of the 2022 Winter Olympics, a World Championship Trial was held in December 2021 between three teams on the men's and women's sides to determine Japan's representatives for the 2022 World Men's Curling Championship and 2022 World Women's Curling Championship. Due to this, the Japan Curling Championships were pushed back later into the year. Instead of the winners qualifying for the upcoming World Championships like usual, the winners of the 2022 Japan Curling Championships qualified as the Japanese representatives for the new Pan Continental Curling Championships. Tokoro, Hokkaido
is a small town, once was an independent administrative division located in Tokoro District, Abashiri Subprefecture (now Okhotsk Subprefecture), Hokkaido, Japan. On March 5, 2006, the division, along with the towns of Rubeshibe and Tanno (all from Tokoro District), was merged into a part of the expanded city of Kitami, and became Tokoro Town, Kitami City. Satsuki Fujisawa
is a Japanese curler from Kitami, Hokkaido. As a skip, she has won the Japanese national championship six times. Fujisawa skipped the bronze medal-winning Japanese team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and the silver medal-winning team at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She is currently the skip of the Loco Solare curling team. Career Fujisawa's junior career began with a championship at the 2008 Pacific Junior Curling Championships over China's Sun Yue. Curling At The 2022 Winter Olympics
The Curling at the Winter Olympics, curling competitions of the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, one of the Olympic Green venues. Curling competitions were scheduled for every day of the games, from February 2 to February 20. This was the eighth time that curling was part of the Olympic program. In each of the men's, women's and mixed doubles curling, mixed doubles competitions, 10 nations competed. The mixed doubles competition was expanded for its second appearance in the Olympics. The 2023 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 40th Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from January 28 to February 5 at the Tokoro Curling Club in Tokoro, Hokkaido, Tokoro, Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan. Ikue Kitazawa
is a Japanese curler from Saku, Nagano. She is the skip of the Chubu Electric Power curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2017 and 2019. At the international level, she has represented Japan twice at the World Women's Curling Championship (, ) and the 2019 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, where she won a silver medal. is a Japanese curler from Sapporo. Career She made her World Championship debut at the 2003 Winnipeg World Championships playing lead for Shinobu Aota's team from Japan. She would return to the world championships in 2004 with the same team. Her next World Championships came in 2008, where the Japanese women (along with Team China) became the first team from the Pacific region to qualify for the Playoffs at the World Championships.
