2022 Imola Formula 3 Round
The 2022 Imola FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 23 and 24 April 2022 at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola, Italy. It is the second round of the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and is held in support of the 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Driver changes Multiple driver changes took place for the second round at the Imola Circuit. Trident driver Jonny Edgar pulled out of the championship after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease and was replaced by former HWA Racelab driver Oliver Rasmussen. Federico Malvestiti returned to the championship after a year's absence, replacing Niko Kari at Jenzer Motorsport. Charouz Racing System driver Ayrton Simmons vacated his seat and was replaced by David Schumacher, who previously raced with the team in 2020. Autodromo Internazionale Enzo E Dino Ferrari
The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, better known as Imola, is a motor racing circuit in the town of Imola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, east of Bologna. It is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. The circuit is named after Ferrari's late founder, Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), and his son, Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari (1932–1956). Before Enzo's death, it was called Autodromo Dino Ferrari. The circuit has an FIA Grade One licence. Imola was the venue for the San Marino Grand Prix between 1981 and 2006. During this period, two Grands Prix were held in Italy every year, with the Italian Grand Prix taking place at Monza, so the Imola race was named after the nearby state. Imola also hosted the 1980 Italian Grand Prix in place of Monza. 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship
The 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship is a motor racing championship for Formula 3 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship is the thirteenth season of Formula 3 racing and the fourth season run under the FIA Formula 3 Championship moniker. It is an open-wheel racing category that serves as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The category is run in support of selected rounds of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship. As the championship is a spec series, all teams and drivers that compete in the championship run the same car, the Dallara F3 2019. Federico Malvestiti (born 12 June 2000) is an Italian racing driver who most recently competed in the FIA F3 Championship for Jenzer Motorsport. He is a race winner in the Italian F4 Championship. Oliver Rasmussen (born 6 November 2000) is a Danish racing driver currently competing in the World Endurance Championship for Jota.
