Idaho Senate
The Idaho Senate is the upper chamber of the Idaho State Legislature. It consists of 35 Senators elected to two-year terms, each representing a district of the state. An independent or non-partisan politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. There are numerous reasons why someone may stand for office as an independent. Some politicians have political views that do not align with the platforms of any political party, and therefore choose not to affiliate with them. Idaho Democratic Party
The Idaho Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. state of Idaho. While the party has been in the minority for most of the state's history, it has produced several notable public figures, including former U.S. senator Frank Church and former governor and secretary of the interior Cecil Andrus. Trade union support has traditionally been a key component of Democratic success in Idaho. The Idaho Republican Party (IDGOP) is the Idaho state affiliate of the United States Republican Party, headquartered in Boise. Jeff C. Agenbroad is a former Republican member of the Idaho Senate. He represented the citizens in Idaho Legislative District 13, which covers parts of the city of Nampa from 2016 to 2022. Carl Crabtree (born in California) is an American rancher and politician who served as a member of the Idaho Senate for the 7th district from 2016 to 2022. Early life Crabtree was raised on a ranch in Kooskia and graduated from Clearwater Valley High School. In 1974, Crabtree earned a Bachelor of Science degree in plant science from the University of Idaho. Career Crabtree is a rancher in Idaho. From 1974 to his retirement in 2015, he worked for Idaho County as 4-H program manager, as extension educator and weed supervisor.
