The 2022 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 72nd overall. The Tiger-Cats qualified for the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year in Week 20 following a win over the Ottawa Redblacks and a loss by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. However, the team lost in the East Semi-Final to the Montreal Alouettes. The 2022 season was the third season under head coach Orlondo Steinauer and the first with Steinauer leading the personnel department as the president of football operations. Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. Tadhg Leader (born 1 March 1992) is an Irish-born rugby union player and gridiron football placekicker. He has also played for American professional rugby union club New England Free Jacks in Major League Rugby (MLR). Leader was born and raised in Ireland, but after living in the United States for several years, qualified to play for the United States national rugby union team. The 2022 Toronto Argonauts season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 149th year of existence. Brandon Desean Banks (born December 21, 1987) is an American Canadian football wide receiver and return specialist who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Bakersfield College and Kansas State. Jackson Bennett (born January 5, 1996) is a professional Canadian football running back for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played U Sports football with the Ottawa Gee-Gees from 2014 to 2017. Lorenzo Malik Mauldin IV (born October 1, 1992) is a professional gridiron football defensive end for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the New York Jets in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisville. Early years Mauldin was born in Sacramento, California on October 1, 1992. The 2022 Ottawa Redblacks season was the eighth season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Redblacks were eliminated from playoff contention following their week 20 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on October 21, 2022. The 2022 CFL season was the second season for Paul LaPolice as the team's head coach, but he was fired after leading the team to another 3–11 record. Jeremiah Taeatafa Masoli (born August 24, 1988) is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2011. The 2022 BC Lions season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 68th overall. The Lions improved upon their record from 2021, with their sixth win in their seventh game. Delvin Lionel Breaux (born October 25, 1989) is a former American professional gridiron football cornerback who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and National Football League (NFL). He attended McDonogh 35 High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member of the Louisiana Bayou Vipers, New Orleans VooDoo, BC Lions, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and New Orleans Saints.
