2022 FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup
The FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup is the first FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup, to be held across tarmac stages around the Circuit Paul Ricard region, between Marseille and Toulon, France on 26 October to 30 October 2022. The category is open to cars entered by teams and complying with Group Rally2, Group Rally4 and Historic regulations. The events are part of the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games. Entries The following countries and crews are officially entered into the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup: Itinerary All dates and times are CEST (UTC+2). Stage SS14, also called "Medals Stage", will be run at Circuit Paul Ricard on Saturday evening and will feature a Rallycross-style course in which the Top 3 of Rally2, Rally4 and Rally Historic will compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo (formerly known as Škoda Fabia R5 evo) is a rally car built by Škoda Motorsport. It is an upgraded generational update of the original Fabia R5, based on the facelifted Škoda Fabia production car. After four years of success in the R5 discipline with the original Fabia, Škoda announced the Fabia R5 evo at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. The car was showcased as an improvement over the 2015 Fabia in nearly all areas, most notably the power and response of the engine. After many kilometers of testing, The Evo passed international homologation on the 1st of April 2019, and made its competitive rallying debut in the hands of Jan Kopecký at the third round of the Czech Rally Championship, Rallye Český Krumlov. Chrysler Sunbeam
The Chrysler Sunbeam is a small supermini three-door hatchback manufactured by Chrysler Europe at the former Rootes Group factory in Linwood in Scotland, from 1977-81. The Sunbeam's development was funded by a UK Government grant with the aim of keeping the Linwood plant running, and the small car was based on the larger Hillman Avenger, also manufactured there. After the takeover of Chrysler's European operations by PSA, the model was renamed Talbot Sunbeam and continued in production until 1981. A Talbot Sunbeam Lotus version was successful in rallying and won the World Rally Championship manufacturers' title for Talbot in 1981. Volvo 200 Series
The Volvo 200 Series (or 240 and 260 Series) is a range of mid-size cars produced by Swedish company Volvo Cars from 1974 until 1993, with more than 2.8 million total units sold worldwide. Like the Volvo 140 Series (1966 to 1974), from which it was developed, it was designed by Jan Wilsgaard. The series overlapped production of the Volvo 700 Series (1982 to 1992). As the 240 Series remained popular, only the 260 Series was displaced by the 700 Series, which Volvo marketed alongside the 240 for another decade. The 700 was replaced by the 900 Series in 1992, a year before the 240 was discontinued. Production of the 240 ended on 14 May 1993, after nearly 20 years. Philippe Gache (born 31 May 1962, Avignon, France) is a French race car driver. He has raced in a number of disciplines, but for the last 20 years (as of 2006) has specialized in off-road racing. In 1992 he competed in the Indianapolis 500, but crashed his car. He has driven in the Dakar Rally in 2003–2006 and 7 times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2006 he took his best finish on the Dakar, 12th place overall. In the 2010 edition of the Dakar Rally, he drove an SMG Buggy. The Opel Kadett C is a small family car which was produced by the German automobile manufacturer Opel from 1973 to 1979. Cristiana Oprea (born 11 March 1992) is a Romanian rally driver. She currently competes in the FIA ERC European Rally Championship 2024. Cristiana is the first Romanian woman driver to ever compete in the World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship. Her career in rallying started in 2015, first as a codriver next to George Grigorescu, then as a driver in DACIA Cup, driving a Dacia Sandero 0.9 TCe.
