The 2022 European Wrestling Championships was held from 28 March to 3 April 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. Belarusian and Russian wrestlers did not compete at the event after a ban as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Evin Demirhan Yavuz (born 2 July 1995) is a Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 50 kg division. She is a member of Ankara Aski Spor Club. She won the gold medal at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships. Early life Demirhan was born into a crowded family in poverty in Siirt, southeastern Turkey on 2 July 1995. During her secondary education at Şehit Zafer Kılıç Sports High School in her hometown, she benefited from a scholarship of the Turkish Wrestling Foundation as one of the twenty successful students and talented wrestlers. She supported her family of 13 financially by wrestling. Miglena Georgieva Selishka ( bg, Миглена Георгиева Селишка; born 13 February 1996) is a Bulgarian freestyle wrestler. At the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy, she won the gold medal in the women's 50kg event. She also won the silver medal in this event in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Pin (amateur Wrestling)
A pin, or fall, is a victory condition in various forms of wrestling that is met by holding an opponent's shoulders or scapulae (shoulder blades) on the wrestling mat for a prescribed period of time. This article deals with the pin as it is defined in amateur wrestling. A pin ends a match regardless of when it occurs.
