2022 Dawn 150
The 2022 Dawn 150 was the ninth stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season, the fifth race of the 2022 Sioux Chief Showdown, and the third iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, July 8, 2022, in Lexington, Ohio at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, a 2.400 mile (3.862 km) permanent road course. The race took it's scheduled 42 laps to complete. In a chaotic race, Taylor Gray, driving for David Gilliland Racing, came home with the win, after making a move on Kris Wright with 3 laps to go. This was Gray's second career ARCA Menards Series win, and his second of the season. To fill out the podium, Parker Chase, driving for Venturini Motorsports, and Sammy Smith, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively. John Hunter Nemechek
John Hunter Nemechek (born June 11, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes full time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 20 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing. He is the son of NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek and was the 2012 champion in the Allison Legacy Series. Early life Nemechek was born on June 11, 1997, Nemechek is a native of Mooresville, North Carolina; he was named after his uncle, John Nemechek, who had been killed in a racing accident earlier that year in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) is an American professional stock car racing team that currently competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is an American motorsports organization promoting road racing and high-performance driver education. Founded in 1991, NASA hosts High Performance Driving Events (HPDE), automotive rallies, Time Trial, autocross and amateur, club-level automotive racing, divided amongst regionally based chapters within the United States.
