The 2022 Connecticut State Comptroller election took place on November 8, 2022, to elect the next Connecticut State Comptroller. Incumbent Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Natalie Braswell was appointed to the position by Governor Ned Lamont after the resignation of Kevin Lembo. She did not seek a full term. Connecticut Working Families Party
The Connecticut Working Families Party is a political party in the U.S. state of Connecticut with approximately 300 members. It is an affiliate of the national Working Families Party. The party's support has been strongest in Hartford and Bridgeport and has been credited with helping ensure the election of Democrat Dannel Malloy in the 2010 gubernatorial election. The party primarily endorses like-minded Democrats but has run candidates against Democrats on the Working Families Party ballot line. James Andrew Himes (born July 5, 1966) is an American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, he chaired the New Democrat Coalition in the 115th Congress (2017–2019). Himes's district includes most of the southwestern corner of the state and is largely coextensive with the Connecticut side of the New York metropolitan area. Joe Courtney (politician)
Joseph David Courtney (born April 6, 1953) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2007. His district encompasses most of the eastern third of the state, including Norwich and New London. A member of the Democratic Party, Courtney served as the Connecticut state representative for the 56th district from 1987 to 1995 and Vernon town attorney from 2003 until 2006. The ''New Haven Register'' is a daily newspaper published in New Haven, Connecticut. It is owned by Hearst Communications. The Register's main office is located at 100 Gando Drive in New Haven. The ''Register'' was established about 1812 and is one of the oldest continuously published newspapers in the U.S. In the early 20th century it was bought by John Day Jackson. The Jackson family owned the ''Register,'' published weekday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings, and ''The Journal-Courier'', a morning weekday paper, until they were combined in 1987 into a seven-day morning ''Register.''
