2022 Classic Brugge–De Panne
The 2022 Classic Brugge–De Panne (known as Minerva Classic Brugge–De Panne for sponsorship reasons) was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 23 March 2022 in Belgium. It was the 46th edition of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne, and the 8th event of the 2022 UCI World Tour. Teams Twenty-four teams were invited to the race, including sixteen UCI WorldTeams and eight UCI ProTeams. All but four teams entered the maximum allowed seven riders. Of the 164 riders who were entered into the race, there were 154 finishers and five non-starters. 2022 UCI World Tour
The 2022 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-one road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2022 in men's road cycling, 2022 cycling season. The tour started with the 2022 UAE Tour, UAE Tour on 20 February, and concluded with the 2022 Il Lombardia, Il Lombardia on 8 October. Events The 2022 calendar was announced in the autumn of 2021. Cancelled events Due to COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19-related logistical concerns raised by teams regarding travel to Australia (including strict quarantine requirements), the Tour Down Under (18–23 January) and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (30 January) were cancelled. On 8 June 2022, the Benelux Tour (29 August – 4 September) was cancelled due to a pressurised calendar. On 17 June 2022, the Tour of Guangxi (13–18 October) was also cancelled due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Max Walscheid
Maximilian Richard "Max" Walscheid (born 13 June 1993) is a German cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Walscheid was born in Neuwied. On 23 January 2016, he was one of the six members of who were hit by a car which drove into on-coming traffic while they were training in Spain. All riders were in stable condition. In August 2018, he was named in the startlist for the Vuelta a España. In August 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Tour de France. During the 2021 Tour de France he won a Wheelie contest which the YouTube channel Tour de Tietema hosted. The wheelie contest was repeated in the 2022 Tour de France during the first rest day and he won thanks to a wheelie of 1420 meters. Heinrich Haussler (born 25 February 1984) is an Australian road racing cyclist of German heritage, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He has won 2 stages in Grand Tours during his career, one at the 2005 Vuelta a España and another at the 2009 Tour de France. Arnaud Démare (born 26 August 1991) is a professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2011 he won the UCI World Under-23 Road Race Championships, and in 2016 he won the Milan–San Remo.
