2022 CFL Draft
The 2022 CFL National Draft was a selection of National players by Canadian Football League (CFL) teams that took place on May 3, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET and was broadcast on TSN and RDS. 74 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. The draft was broadcast live on TSN for the first two rounds. The TSN production was hosted by Farhan Lalji and featured the CFL on TSN panel which included Duane Forde, Davis Sanchez, Marshall Ferguson, and Dave Naylor. Randy Ambrosie, the CFL commissioner, was also present in the TSN studios in Toronto to announce the picks for the first two rounds. Canadian Football

Duane Forde
Duane Forde (born May 8, 1969) is a Canadian television broadcaster for TSN and a former player in the CFL. Career College football Born in Toronto, Forde attended the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Physical Education. While studying at Western, Forde played CIAU football for the Western Ontario Mustangs from 1987 to 1990. While he was at UWO, the Mustangs lost just once in the regular season, and they won the 1989 Vanier Cup. Selected two times as the Mustangs' Most Valuable Player, Forde co-captained the 1989 team. CFL Forde played twelve seasons for the Calgary Stampeders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Penn State Nittany Lions team represents the Pennsylvania State University in college football. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Jesse Luketa
Jesse Shimba Luketa (born January 15, 1999) is a Canadian-born professional gridiron football outside linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State. Early life and high school Luketa was born in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in the Ottawa's Heron Gate neighborhood. John Metchie III
John Metchie III (born July 18, 2000) is a Canadian gridiron football wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama, winning the Jon Cornish Trophy twice prior to being drafted by the Texans in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). 2020 U Sports Football Season
The 2020 U Sports football season was scheduled to feature Canadian football competition under the auspices of U Sports as the highest level of competition for amateur football in Canada in 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, U Sports cancelled the national championships and the Atlantic University Sport, Canada West, and Ontario University Athletics conferences announced the complete cancellation of their schedules on June 8. The Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec conference waited to make a decision until September 14, when they also announced that all university sports would be cancelled for the remainder of 2020. Randy Ambrosie
Randy Ambrosie (born March 16, 1963) is the 14th and current commissioner of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Ambrosie played Canadian football professionally as an offensive guard for the CFL's Calgary Stampeders, Toronto Argonauts, and Edmonton Eskimos. He was selected with the second overall pick in the 1985 CFL Draft by the Stampeders. Over the course of a nine-season career, he played in 142 professional games and became a Grey Cup champion. Ambrosie played college football at the University of Manitoba. Early career Ambrosie played college football for the Manitoba Bisons as an offensive lineman.
