2022 All-Australian Team
The 2022 All-Australian team represents the best performed Australian Football League (AFL) players during the 2022 season. It will be announced on 24 August as a complete Australian rules football team of 22 players. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Selection panel The selection panel for the 2022 All-Australian team consisted of chairman Gillon McLachlan, Kane Cornes, Glen Jakovich, Chris Johnson, Cameron Ling, Brad Scott, Gerard Healy, Nick Riewoldt, Jude Bolton, and Andrew Dillon. All-Australian Team
The All-Australian team is an all-star team of Australian rules football in Australia, Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including an interchange bench, of the best-performed players during the season, led by that season's premiership coach. Despite its nature, the All-Australian team is only ceremonial. Though the AFL played an All-Star match in 2020, it was the first in 12 years, and the difference in skill level between the All-Australian team and the nearest international competitor is currently too large for any contest to be competitive. Hugh McCluggage (born 3 March 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer and vice-captain of the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life McCluggage was raised in Allansford, Victoria and participated in the Auskick program there before playing junior football with the Allansford Football Club in the Warrnambool District Football League. Jeremy Cameron
Jeremy Cameron (born 1 April 1993) is a professional footballer with the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2012 to 2020. Cameron has kicked the most goals (427) for Greater Western Sydney, and led the club's goalkicking in all nine of his seasons at the club, with his 67 goals in the 2019 home-and-away season earning him the Coleman Medal. Mark Blicavs ( ; born 28 March 1991) is a professional Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He made his debut for the club in round one of the 2013 AFL season. Early life Blicavs' parents were both born overseas – his father was born in New Zealand to Latvian parents, and his mother was born on the isle of Jersey. Brayden Maynard (born 20 September 1996) is an Australian rules footballer who currently plays for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). State football Maynard played junior football with the Hampton Rovers in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Maynard represented Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup. Josh Daicos (born 26 November 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Son of Peter Daicos, who played for Collingwood in the VFL/AFL, he played for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup before he was drafted with pick 57 in 2016 under the father–son rule.
