2022 AFC Cup Knockout Stage
The 2022 AFC Cup knockout stage was played from 9 August to 22 October 2022. A total of 12 teams competed in the knockout stage to decide the champions of the 2022 AFC Cup. Qualified teams The following teams advanced from the group stage: *The winners of each of the three groups and the best runners-up in the West Asia Zone (Groups A–C) and the ASEAN Zone (Groups G–I), advanced to the Zonal semi-finals. *The winners of each group in the South Asia Zone (Group D), and the East Asia Zone (Group J) advanced to the Inter-zone play-off semi-finals. *The winners of each group in the Central Asia Zone (Groups E–F) advanced to the Zonal finals. Format In the knockout stage, the 12 teams played a single-elimination tournament. 2022 AFC Cup
The 2022 AFC Cup was the 19th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). This season was the last in an all-year-round (spring-to-autumn) schedule; from 2023 the competition was switched to an autumn-to-spring schedule. Bahraini club Al-Muharraq were the title holders, having won their second AFC Cup title in 2021. As they failed to obtain the AFC license, they did not defend their title. Al-Seeb of Oman won its first continental title. They automatically qualified for the 2023–24 AFC Champions League and entered the qualifying play-offs, since Omani teams were unable to qualify through their domestic performance. Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium
Al Kuwait Kaifan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Al Kuwait Kaifan.
