2021–22 UMass Lowell River Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 UMass Lowell River Hawks men's basketball team represented the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at the Costello Athletic Center in Lowell, Massachusetts and were led by ninth-year head coach Pat Duquette. They finished the season 15-16, 7-11 in America East Play to finish in 7th place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the America East tournament to UMBC. Previous season In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the River Hawks finished the 2020–21 season 11–12, 7–8 in America East play to finish in sixth place. They fell to Hartford in the America East Conference Championship. Pat Duquette
Pat Duquette (born November 4, 1970) is the head men's basketball coach at UMass Lowell. He is the first coach in the school's Division I history, as the River Hawks joined the America East Conference for the 2013–14 season. Biography Coaching career After graduation from Williams College in 1993, where he captained the men's basketball team, Duquette interned with the New Jersey Nets while simultaneously coaching at Centenary College of New Jersey. Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the seat of Prince George's County, Maryland. Aso of the 2020 census, the population was 652. although Greater Upper Marlboro is many times larger. Etymology Upper Marlboro was established in 1706 as "Marlborough Town", after John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. In 1744, the town was renamed to "Upper Marlborough". In the late 19th century, the town's name changed from Upper Marlborough to Upper Marlboro. The name change is linked to a postal clerk who felt that the last three letters, "ugh", did not properly fit on the rubber stamps being used at the time. The USC Upstate Spartans men's basketball team represents the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. Osbourn High School is a public school for grades 9–12 located in Manassas, Virginia, United States and the sole high school of the Manassas City Public Schools system. History Osbourn High School history goes back to 1890 when it was named the Manassas Institute. Miss Eugenia H. Osbourn came to Manassas and was named assistant principal.
