2021–22 Stanford Cardinal Women's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Stanford Cardinal women's basketball team represented Stanford University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cardinal were led by thirty-sixth year head coach Tara VanDerveer, and they played their home games at Maples Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Tara VanDerveer
Tara Ann VanDerveer (born June 26, 1953) is an American basketball coach who has been the head women's basketball coach at Stanford University since 1985. Designated the Setsuko Ishiyama Director of Women's Basketball, VanDerveer led the Stanford Cardinal to three NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championships: in 1990, 1992 and 2021. She stepped away from the Stanford program for a year to serve as the U.S. national team head coach at the 1996 Olympic Games. VanDerveer is the 1990 Naismith National Coach of the Year and a ten-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year. She is also one of only nine NCAA Women's Basketball coaches to win over 900 games, and one of ten NCAA Division I coaches – men's or women's – to win 1,000 games. Mountainside High School
Mountainside High School is one of six comprehensive high schools in Beaverton, Oregon. It opened in September 2017 with students in grades 9 and 10. Beaverton is a city in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Oregon with a small portion bordering Portland in the Tualatin Valley. Mater Dei High School is a private, Catholic, co-educational secondary school in Santa Ana, California. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange. Mater Dei is known for its strong sports programs, especially in football, and for its multiple graduates who have won the Heisman Trophy.
