2021–22 Segunda División (women)
The 2021–22 Segunda División (known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons) football season, was the 91st since its establishment in Spain. Teams Team changes Promotion and relegation (pre-season) A total of 22 teams will contest the league, including 15 sides from the 2020–21 season, three relegated from the 2020–21 La Liga, and four promoted from the 2020–21 Segunda División B. This will include the winners of the play-offs. ;Teams promoted to La Liga On 8 May 2021, Espanyol became the first side to mathematically be promoted, assured of a return to the top flight following a 0–0 draw against Zaragoza. The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Segunda División, commercially known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, is the men's second professional association football division of the Spanish football league system. 2021–22 Primera División RFEF
The 2021–22 Primera División RFEF season is the first for the Primera División RFEF, the new third highest level in the Spanish football league system. It succeeded the old Segunda División B, which renamed itself Segunda División RFEF and downgraded to the fourth level in the pyramid. Forty teams will participate, divided into two groups of twenty clubs each based on geographical proximity. In each group, the champions automatically promoted to Segunda División and the second to fifth placers will play promotion play-offs and the bottom five are relegated to the Segunda División RFEF.
