2021–22 Oklahoma State Cowboys Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball team represented Oklahoma State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fifth-year head coach Mike Boynton, and played their home games at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma as a member of the Big 12 Conference. On November 3, 2021, the NCAA ruled Oklahoma State ineligible for postseason play for the season due to player receiving improper benefits. Previous season In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Cowboys finished the 2020–21 season 21–9, 11–7 in Big 12 play to finish in fifth place. Mike Boynton
Michael Boynton Jr. (born January 17, 1982) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the Oklahoma State University–Stillwater. Playing career A native of Brooklyn, New York, Boynton led his high school basketball team at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School to the city semifinals and earned first team All-New York City honors by averaging 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 11.0 assists per game. While a player for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks from 2000 to 2004, Boynton made 129 three-pointers in 125 career games, finishing in the top ten in three-pointers made and fourth in career games played with the Gamecocks. The 2020–21 Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team represented Oregon State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Beavers were led by seventh-year head coach Wayne Tinkle, and played their home games at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Despite being picked to finish last in the Pac-12 standings in preseason media polls, the Beavers finished tied for sixth in conference play and received a 5-seed in the 2021 Pac-12 tournament due to Arizona's self-imposed ban. Despite the Beavers' outperforming of low expectations, the consensus among analysts entering the Pac-12 tournament was that OSU would not receive an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA tournament, and thus needed to win the conference tournament to make the field as an automatic qualifier. The Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball team represents Texas Tech University in basketball. Bryce Joseph Thompson (born February 26, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Oklahoma State Cowboys of the Big 12 Conference. He previously played for the Kansas Jayhawks. He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the best shooting guards in the 2020 class. High school career Thompson attended Booker T. The Robert Morris Colonials men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States.
